Moving Children Out of London During the "Blitz"

One of the most facinating facts about World War II was the creative idea of moving children out of London into the countryside during the "Blitz of London," which was flattened by German air raids, and ultimately the attack of V-1 (otherwise known as "buzz bombs,"  "Doodle Bombs," or "Doodle Bugs"), and then the more dreaded V-2 rockets.

Although this move saved hundreds of children's lives, this also caused a lot of trauma to these children who were separated from their parents, especially their mothers for the duration of the war. Some children were sent to live with relatives, while others were virtually homeless, unwanted and unloved.
