We have all heard that humor is like a medicine. Even the medical profession will admit that a good laugh helps keep the body healthy.

Whether it's true or not, I blame my corny sence of humor and wit on my British ancestry. We all need an excuse for who we are.

American's love to express themselves through vanity license plates and bumper stickers. Being in the northwest Indiana/Chicago area, I think I may have seen it all; but nevertheless, I enjoy how clever and creative people can be when there is a seven character limit on each plate.

If you come across an interesting vanity plate or bumper sticker, please e-mail it to me. Postings that are sent in will be posted at MY discression. If you think something is off color, immoral, or offensive (especially to me), don't waste your time. I want to keep this site family oriented, where children can use it for reference for their school reports.

If you live outside of the US, I am not aware if other countries have vanity plates (or they are called license "tags" in other areas). Please let me know.

In some cases, the plates reflect the vehicle they are driving, sometimes the personality of driver, sometimes anything else. For example, one day I was driving to visit the Stateville Prison in Joliet, Illinois to visit some inmates (as a chaplain). A Corvette Stingray car passed me. The license plate read "SINNER." At least the owner was honest and wanted the world to advertize what we already knew about him.

When e-mailing your vanity plates or bumper stickers DO NOT COPY FROM OTHER SITES. I know how to do a "bumper sticker" or "vanity plates" search like you can. I'm looking for originality--samples you have actually seen on the road, not copying from other sites. Copying from other sites takes away from the uniqueness of a site and cheapens it. There are hundreds of copy cat sites. If you wish, you may e-mail a digital picture of something you have seen, but I will not take the time to scan pictures you mail in for me. I may do this on the military pages, but I'm not going to take my time doing it for this page.
